Established in 2006, Specialized Towing proudly serves the Canberra community. While we began by towing cars and small machinery, we now specialise in oversized building transport (with our own fleet of pilot vehicles), high-risk off-road recovery and general towing.

Our services

Tilt tray towing & transport

A fleet of 9 tilt trays, from MR tilt trucks to three Isuzu Twin Steers with a 13-tonne payload. We can transport almost anything that safely fits on a truck, from small machinery to large, oversized structures.

Semi tilts & float

Two semi tilts and a tri-axle spread float handling loads up to 24 tonnes. The semi tilts self-load 40ft containers and portable buildings, including structures up to 16 metres long and 4.6 metres wide.

Pilot vehicles

A fleet of 6 fully equipped pilot vehicles with all required oversize signage, ready to escort oversized loads nationwide.

Off-road recovery

Specialised recovery equipment, including several telehandlers and a Takeuchi Positrack with winch attachment, to recover stuck vehicles and heavy plant machinery.

Fresh water delivery

A purpose-built 17,000-litre water tank trailer to deliver fresh water locally and pump it directly into water tanks or swimming pools.
